Marjorie Iola passed away on February 5, 2008. 

Marjorie was born in Chilliwack on June 2, 1926 to May (Johnston) and Daniel McIntosh. 

Marjorie grew up on the family farm on Upper Prairie Road and graduated from Chilliwack High School in 1944.

In 1946, she married William (Bill) Reid whose family had a farm on Prest Road.

Marjorie lived in Chilliwack all of her life until health forced a move to Bevan Lodge in Abbotsford in 2005. 

Marjorie was a loving and kind wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  She enjoyed cooking for her family and will be remembered for her love of cats.

Marjorie is survived by her brother: Ken McIntosh (Joan); her sons: Stanley (Diane), Gordon and Ken (Bonnie); her daughter: Shirley Morrison (John); eight grandchildren: Gordie (Tosh), Teresa, Cheryl, Christopher, Quentin, Laura, Ian and Colin; and three great- grandchildren: Tessa, Tory and Devin.

Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1981 and by her grandson Trevor in 2001.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Bevan Lodge for the care and comfort they provided for Marjorie.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. from Henderson’s Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel at Henderson’s Funeral Home. Major Sandra Haggarty officiating.

Reception to follow in the Tea Room at Henderson’s.

Burial to take place at the Chilliwack Cemeteries following the reception.

If friends so desire donations may be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation.
