Mr. Marinus (Ray) Louwerse died on November 13, 2004 in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital at 76 years of age.
He is survived by his loving family: wife Ina of Vernon; 4 daughters, Bernice Meints (Joe) of Smithers, Stephanie (Hermen) Geertsema of Abbotsford, Dianne (Harold) Vanderplas of Byford West Australia, Harriet Hamilton Ont.; 4 sons, William (Lorraine) Louwerse of Abbotsford, Kurt (Kathy) Louwerse of Chilliwack, John (Annet) Louwerse of Fergus, Ont, David Louwerse of Smithers; grandchildren, Aaron, Caitlin, Benjamin, Korey, Riley, Colter, Raina, Kiara, Lincoln, Jamie, Levi, Josina, Alexis, Kayla, Vanesse, Miranda, Joanna, Reuben, Crystelle, Struen; 1 sister Lee Vanderhoofd of the Netherlands and many extended family.
He came to Canada in 1955, married and settled in the Fraser Valley where they operated their own bakery in Hope B.C. They retired to Vernon in 1994. Ray’s interest in life, were his family and his church.
Graveside Service will he held at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, November 17, at Vernon City Cemetery. Memorial Service will follow at 1:30 pm at the Canadian Reformed Church, Vernon.
