Marie Martens, our precious mother passed away peacefully at Abbotsford B.C. on February 17, 2004 at the age of 102 years. She was born in Prijut, Urkaine, Russia, September 3, 1901.
A Prayer Service and viewing will be held Friday, February 20, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. in the
Fireside Room of Eden Mennonite Church.
A Graveside Service will be held at Chilliwack Cemeteries, Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Service of Remembrance at 11:00 a.m. at the Eden Mennonite Church, Chilliwack. Rev. Kerry Palmer officiating.
She is survived by her son, Peter (Hilda) of Chilliwack, B.C.; daughter, Mary Wilson, of Vermillion, Alberta; 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Henry, 1967 and daughter, Elsie, 1987.
Should family and friends so desire, donations in Marie’s memory may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee.
