Marie Aimée Louise Dorris


73, of Chilliwack, died peacefully at 10:10 am, Wednesday, March 29th, 2017 in the Intensive Care Unit of Chilliwack General Hospital with family by her side. She was born June 20, 1943 in Montréal, Québec, to Roger Dorris and Fernande Laprès. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Normand Henri St-Denis on May 13th, 2013. Loulou was a part-time office assistant prior to her retirement. She and Normand were Arizona snowbirds until his passing. All of her life she loved the sun and her last vacation was in Puerto Vallarta with her daughter. She was an exceptional homemaker, she enjoyed her grand-kids, gardening, swimming, tanning, reading and completing her daily "CyberPresse" crossword. She volunteered in her daughter's class with 'Emerging Readers'. She also donated her time at a non-profit boutique associated with hospice care. Survivors include her daughter, Caroline (Bert) Odegard of Chilliwack, granddaughter, Stéphanie Odegard of Coquitlam, grandson Marc-André Odegard of Chilliwack, her sister Jocelyne (René) Thomas, brother Gilles (Francine) Dorris, two nieces and two nephews residing in the province of Québec. There will be a Celebration of Life for Louise on Saturday, April 29th at the Best Western Hotel (Chilliwack) from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
