Marguerite Anisie Middleton passed away peacefully on June 24, 2010 at Heritage Village.

She was born March 14, 1913 in Vasser, Manitoba to Edmond and Josephine Beaudry.

Marguerite was predeceased by her husband James Harper Middleton, her eldest daughter Lucille Erskin and her grandson Mark Rowan. She was the 4th of 12 children, of which she was the last one to pass on.

Marguerite was born at the farm in Vasser but moved to Winnipeg at only 14 years of age. She met and married James Harper Middleton on January 9th, 1937 in Longlake, Manitoba. When he was posted to Canadian Forces Base in Vedder Crossing, she and the children followed and lived up at Cultus Lake. After moving to Vedder Crossing she started working for Canada Packers as the Floor Supervisor where after more than 30 years she retired in 1978 after it had become York Farms.

Her greatest passions in life were cooking for other people, working in her garden, especially her roses and her love of all animals.

Keep my memory with you,

For memories never die;

I will be there with you,

When you look across the sky.

I will be there in the clouds,

In the birds that fill the air;

In the beauty of a fragrant rose

You will find my memory there.

You will feel me in the tenderness,

Of a tiny baby’s touch;

You will hear me if you listen,

In the twilight’s gentle hush.

When your hearts are heavy,

And you feel that you are alone;

Just reach down deep inside of you,

For your heart is now my home.

I will always be with you,

I will never go away;

For I will live on in your hearts,

Forever and a day.

She is survived by her eldest son Denny Middleton (Marie), James Middleton (Wendy), her youngest daughter Dorothy O’Brien, 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Cremation has taken place at Henderson’s Funeral Home. Service to be held at St Mary’s Church on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 2 pm. Tea to follow.
