Margaret Victoria STOBBE

July 9, 2006

Margaret Victoria Stobbe went to be home with her Lord, Sunday, July 9, 2006 after a long fought battle with cancer.

Margaret was born May 12, 1936 in Shand, Sask. to Rueben and Ruby Ashenhurst.

She leaves behind her husband Henry of 52 years, children Dan (Sandy) Stobbe, Deb Stobbe, Bob (Charity) Stobbe, Laurie (Wayne) Bjorge, grandchildren, Joshua, Brittany, Joy, and Clayton, as well as foster daughter Maureen (David) Boychuck. Also sisters, Berenice Price (George) McConnell, Myrtle (Len) Froese, Shirley (John) Wiens, Gerry (Louise) Ashenhurst as well as numerous loving relatives and friends.

Margaret was predeceased by her first born, Jimmy, brother Darwin, and parents Rueben and Ruby Ashenhurst.

To know Margaret was to love Margaret. She was ‘mom’ to many and cared so much for those who crossed her path. Mom made sure you were fed, warm, and loved.

Mom’s home growing up was always filled with foster kids coming and going.

She spent many years working as a Home Support Worker and often took in families who needed extra care and attention. Mom worked for Meals on Wheels for many years, taught Sunday School and ran a daycare in her home. Mom loved children and loved her family. She devoted her life to her honey ‘Hank’ and her children, always putting others’ needs before her own.

She unselfishly cared for her aging parents and parents-in-law for many years. Mom loved to laugh and would go out of her way to make sure you were happy and laughing.

Mom filled all our lives with love and shared her love for God. Heaven now has one more angel.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Chilliwack Alliance Church, Saturday, July 15, 2006 at 1:00 pm. The family would welcome any stories or memories that you might like to share at that time.

In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations to the BC Cancer Agency or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
