Margaret Louise Paulding

1948-2024 ~  Margaret Louise Paulding passed away peacefully on January 15, 2024 in Chilliwack surrounded by her beloved husband and children.

Margaret was born in 1948 in Vancouver, BC to George and Margaret Philps. As a child, she grew up in Burnaby, and graduated from Burnaby Central High School. Marg attended Simon Fraser University, studying to become a teacher.

She met the love of her life, Richard, on a blind date. They married and moved to Chilliwack to begin their life together. Marg taught at Yarrow, Central, Sardis, and Greendale Elementary Schools.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard, her daughters Rebecca (Andrew) and Sarah (Jared), her precious grandson, Bear, her lifelong friend Joan Murphy, her loving extended family, and many dear cousins and friends.

Marg was an energized, kind, creative, and effective educator. As an elementary school teacher, Marg especially loved putting on school musicals and choir concerts. Marg was a woman of great warmth; she was empathetic, encouraging, and generous. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and loved to host family get togethers. Marg especially enjoyed being a grandmother to Bear, and treasured the time spent with him.

Marg loved God, and was an active participant in her church, Sardis Community.

A celebration of life and love will be held on June 1st at 1:30pm at Sardis Community Church in Chilliwack, BC
