It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Isla Rilling on October 11, 2009. Margaret was born on October 28, 1931 in Brandon, Manitoba. She lived most of her life in Chilliwack where she raised her family of five children. Margaret was a member of the Salvation Army Church and a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross until she lost her sight. She love knitting, crocheting and quilting; making many beautiful gifts for her family and friends.

Margaret is survived by Wilbert, her loving husband of 29 years; her brother, John Pottinger; her children, Gerald (Alice) Lyons, John (Judy) Lyons, Martin Lyons, Deborah Rilling and Daniel (Sheri) Lyons; her fifteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and two nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter, Wendy Lynn Lyons (in infancy); granddaughter, Holly Michelle Freeman; sister, Gwendolyn Mae Loshuck and parents Robert Bakie Pottinger and Elizabeth Mae Pottinger (nee Taylor).

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 1:30 pm from the Chilliwack Community Church, 46420 Brooks Ave, Chilliwack, BC

If any so desire, memorial donations in lieu of flowers to the Salvation Army Care and Share Centre would be appreciated.
