Margaret Irene “Marge” Schmidt passed away peacefully on March 3, 2004 in Chilliwack, BC. Marge was born at Whitemouth, Man. on December 30, 1930 to Paul and Bertha Steiner.
She is survived by her loving husband Emil; daughters, Colleen, of Abbotsford and Andrea of Maple Ridge; sister, Esther Paterson of West Vancouver; brother Clarence (Leotha) Steiner of Beausejour, Man. and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was predeceased by her parents, sisters, Emma (in infancy) and Elsie Gesell, brothers, Walter and William Steiner. There will be a viewing at 9 am on Tuesday, Mar. 9, 2004 from Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave., Chilliwack, followed by Prayers at 10 am. Interment will take place, following Prayers, at Vedderview Gardens Cemetery, 44675 Watson Rd., Chilliwack.
A Service of Thanksgiving, celebrating her life, will be held, Tuesday, Mar. 9 at 2 pm at Christ Lutheran Church, 9460 Charles St., Chilliwack with Pastor Gayle Haugen officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marge’s name may be made to Christ Lutheran Memorial Fund or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
