Margaret moved from her home in Chilliwack, BC to the Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission BC on February 19, 2008. On May 1, 2008 Margaret moved to her new home in heaven to be with her Lord and Savior. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Elmer, infant brother Rudolph, brother Frank and sister Frieda.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her four children: Vic (Bonnie), Ron (Sandy), Vivian (Russell) Keys, Randy (Sharon); and her eight grandchildren: Thomas, Lisa (Rod) Halsall, Mandy (Patrick) Santos, Shantel and Jenine Keys, Kendra, Brian, Kevin, her sister, Lydia (Eduard) Mueller and brother Hank (Minnie) Kliever along with many relatives and friends.

Margaret was born in Drake, Saskatchewan in 1927, moved to Yarrow, BC in 1947 and later to Chilliwack. Margaret met Elmer in 1950, married in 1951 and was blessed with three sons and one daughter before the close of the 50’s (the last child being born on Dec. 31, 1959).

Margaret worked at the Chilliwack General Hospital for 20 years. She loved being active with her family and friends. Margaret was faithful to her church and church groups. She loved camping, traveling, bowling, quilting, knitting, baking, playing games, touring Minter Gardens and was a big fan of both amateur and professional hockey.

Margaret’s strong faith was an inspiration to all. She was a great listener, always there with encouraging words, had a giving heart, and a smile that will not be forgotten. Margaret was a blessing to all who knew her, a Gift from God.

The family would like to thank Fraser Health Home Support, Dr. Oostenbrink, Dr. Buczkowski (VGH), and the wonderful caring staff of Christine Morrison Hospice.
