Marcia passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on the 23rd of May 2009. In this very difficult time, Marcia’s loved ones take comfort in the knowledge that she passed while spending time in her peaceful home garden with her loving partner Nigel.
Marcia was a free spirit whose generosity and kindness will be fondly remembered by her family, friends, and the arts community she thrived in. Her joyous smile and creative flair touched many.
Marcia is survived by her son Lucas and her partner Nigel Cocking as well as her parents, Toni and Laurence Sprangers and siblings Jackie, Joanne, Mark, Laurence, and Michelle, and extended family.
A private celebration of Marcia’s life will be held in Victoria, BC on Saturday, May 30, 2009. An honourary mass will be held at Saint Mary’s Church in Chilliwack, B.C. at a later date.
