1941-2010
The family wishes to announce with great sorrow the death of Marcel Patry, at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at the age of 69 years. He was born in August 1941 in Timmins, Ontario.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Betty Patry (nee Lawrence), his children Lynn Bélanger (Paul) and their children Nathan and Michelle, Rick (Claudette) and their children Marina Hills and Telina Farnon (Joel), 3 great-grandchildren, and daughter Diane. Marcel is also survived by his mother Lorraine of Timmins, Ontario, sister Paulette Robitaille (Renaud) and family, brother Ronald (Pamela) and family, also survived by many aunts, uncles, as well as many other relatives.
He was predeceased by his father Paul, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Marcel moved to Hope, B.C. in 1974, later settling in Chilliwack in 1988. He worked for Canada Post in Timmins and Chilliwack for several years. He was also a great carpenter, building many houses in Hope and Chilliwack.
Betty and the children would like to extend a special thank-you to Dr. Ross and Dr. Antony for their sincere kindness and care given to him over the years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
A Memorial Tea will be held on Saturday, November 20th, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. from the Tea Room at Henderson’s Funeral Home.
He was loved very much and will be sorely missed.
