“Mac”

Malcolm John “Mac” Harris passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at home in Chilliwack at the age of 77 years.

Mac worked along with his parents to help build what became “Harris Turkey Farm”, in Langley. It was the largest turkey farm in the area in its time. He owned and operated Leader Transport Trucking Company then went on to manage motels throughout BC and Alberta. Mac volunteered as a Cub and Scout leader, was the fire chief of the Andrew Volunteer Fire Department and loved to sing in the church choir. He came to Chilliwack seven years ago to once again enjoy the peace and quietness of farm life.

Dad will be sadly missed by his children, Bruce (Denise), Glenn (Barb), Candice (Renato) and Shirley-Ann; his grandchildren, Brandon, Jeanette, Samantha, Laura-Lee and Niko; his great-grandchildren, Neriah, Elise, Hunter, Matthew, Kayla and Emma and his many other family and friends.

A Celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 20, 2010 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave., Chilliwack, BC
