Lyle Frederick Muirhead late of Chilliwack, passed away June 16, 2003 at the age of 93. Mr. Muirhead was born in Rosedale on October 2, 1909. He and his wife Dorothy, fostered many children over the years. He enjoyed his animals and was a longtime member of the IOOF Excelsior #7.
He is survived by his family, son Bruce (Jo Ann) of Chilliwack; daughter Sarah Lynn (Bill) Whitwick of Sardis; and foster son Greig Murray of Harrison Hot Springs; four grandchildren, Teresa, Lyle, Amanda and Michelle; and two great-grandchildren, Emaliegh and Darren. He is also survived by a sister Doreen (Chester) McKay of Sardis.
Mr. Muirhead was predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy; and a brother Ray.
A gravesite service was held on Saturday, June 21, 2003 at 10 a.m. at the IOOF Cemetery, Chilliwack with the service held under the auspices of the IOOF Lodge.
Should family or friends so desire, donations can be made in Mr. Muirhead’s name, to the Salvation Army.
