Lucie passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at St. Paul’s Hospital. She was born on March 13, 1933 in Poland, fled to Germany with her family in 1945 and immigrated to Chilliwack in 1953. Lucie is predeceased by her parents and survived by her loving husband Rudy, daughter Linda (Scott), son Gerald (Colleen) and brother Otto (Germany). Oma also leaves behind 3 grandsons; Anthony, Darren and Logan. We will remember her for her deep commitment to her family, friends and church. She was a great listener and always liked helping others. Lucie loved to work in her large vegetable and rose gardens with Rudy.
Friends and family are welcome to attend a viewing at Henderson’s Funeral Home on Friday, December 9, 2005 from 7:30 — 9:00 pm. Everyone is also invited to a graveside ceremony at Chilliwack Cemeteries on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 1:00 pm. There will be a celebration of Lucie’s life at Evangelical Missionary Church (corner of Princess and Williams) at 2:30 pm to be followed by refreshments.
