Grant, Louisette Marie passed away at the Eden Care Centre on August 21, 2007 after a long and debilitating battle with Parkinson’s disease. Lou was 75 years young and was born in Shawinigan, PQ on February 23, 1932. She is survived by her loving husband, Ron; sons, Douglas (Stephanie) of Ottawa, ON, David (Bevelyn) of Sydney, Australia; sisters, Anita of Sherbrooke, Simone and Pauline of Drummondville, and Bernadette and Michelle of Shawinigan South; brothers, Pierre of Montreal, Louie of Cap de Madeline, and Daniel of Rock Forest, PQ; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Lou was predeceased by her loving son Bruce; sisters, Cecile of Prescott, ON and Jeanne of Shawinigan; brothers, Jean and Patrick of Three Rivers, Marc of Sherbrooke, and Denis of Montreal.
Bless the LPN’s (Kim, Shari, Tara and Christina), the care aids (Avindar, Rapindar, Kelsey, Yvonne, Tony, Carmen, and the “Care Aide of Care Aides”, Darrell) for all their loving care of Lou during her ordeal. The “Morrison Mob”: Debbie, Barb, Kam, Bernadette, Anthonette, Michel, the Chefs Supreme, as well as Eli, Jo Jo, Sandy, Sandra, Janice, Margaret, and Patti merit the highest of accolades for the tender care afforded to Lou. None of you will be forgotten.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Church on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 10:30 am; Father Paul Phan Bui presiding. Cremation to follow with Lou’s ashes to be spread at sea, where she so loved to cruise. In lieu of flowers, Ron requests donations, if desired, to the “Resident Enrichment Fund c/o the Eden Centre”, 9100 Charles St., Chilliwack, BC, V2P 5K6.
