Louis (Lou) THIESEN

November 20, 2007

Lou passed away suddenly on Nov. 20, 2007 at his home in Sardis. He was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan July 26, 1926.

Lou is well known from his recreational vehicle business in Abbotsford, L&H Leisure Vehicles Ltd., which he owned for many years. He loved to golf, walk, bike and had an interest in history. He also loved to go on vacation with his wife Helen, the joy of his life.

He is remembered for his love of antique cars and his passion for restoring them. However, his real purpose in life was serving Christ.

Lou was baptized in 1941 at the Baptist Church; was one of the founding members of Yarrow Alliance Church and more recently belonged to Sardis Community Church. He had been singing his heart out in the Abbotsford Male Chorus Choir for the last 12 years.

Lou is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Helen; his daughter Norma and her husband Bryon; his daughter Bev and her husband Phil; his son Rod and his wife Diane; his son Mark and his wife Rachel; his grandchildren Mary-Jane, Wayne, Sommer, David, Erin, Ashley, Robert, Michael, David, Aaron, Dillon, Aidan, and Jake. His step-grandchildren Jodi and Rob and his great-grandchildren Brielle, Zack, Samantha and Tyler.
