(nee Payne)

(Nov. 12, 1934 - June 28, 2008)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lorna Marochi on Saturday morning, June 28, 2008 at Chilliwack General Hospital. Her path into the next life was lit with rays of sunshine as she was welcomed home into the open arms of previously departed loved ones whom she dearly missed. She was born 73 years ago in Abbotsford, British Columbia to Al and Ethel-Mae Payne (deceased) and lived and worked all of her life in the Lower Mainland.

We honour the life of a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Lorna will be forever remembered and greatly missed by her loving husband of 54 years, Rudy and her two sons, Allan (Sandi) and Peter (Shelley). Also left to mourn are her brother Roger (Diane), sisters-in-law Anna (Robert), Gloria and many nieces and nephews. Her spirit will be forever carried forth in her grandchildren Aaron, Katie and Sawyer.

The family would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. L. Macintosh and the nurses and staff on the third floor of Chilliwack General Hospital. Thanks also to the doctors and nurses in the emergency department for their care and support.

A special thank you goes out to the paramedics who attended to Lorna at her residence in Harrison Hot Springs, and to all the friends and family members who helped our family tremendously through the past five months.

Your care and kindness has been greatly appreciated. Lorna’s request was that there be no service and that you remember and share with each other the memories and good times that will be forever in your hearts.
