Lorna passed away peacefully September 9, 2008 in Chilliwack.
She is survived by her husband Cecil; daughters: Sheri and Marilyn; brother, Harold; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son Gordon in 1991.
Lorna was born and raised in Sardis. She attended her schooling at Sardis Elementary and Chilliwack High. Lorna was very active in community athletics in Sardis; she was honoured as Chilliwack’s “Woman of the Year” in 1989. Lorna was a long-time Parishioner of Carman United Church and was very active as a choir member, in the Sunday school and as the Church Historian. She was a founding member of “Club 28,” and past member of Kinets, and P.E.O. Lorna spent countless hours volunteering in the community especially at Parkholm Lodge. She was a great wife, mother, and grandmother.
A Memorial Service will be held at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lorna’s name to the Alzheimer’s Society.
