Born August 3rd, 1914 in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. Died September 3rd, 2005 in Chilliwack.
Lorene came to Vancouver as a young child. She worked as an L.P.N. in Vancouver and moved to Vanderhoof to work in the hospital there. She married Phillipe Menard and adopted a son Ronald. They moved to Chilliwack in the early 80’s. She was predeceased by her husband and son. Her mother was Maude Stirling and her father William Jones. While living in Columbus Towers she was active in the social club and for many years served as the president. As her health failed she moved into Valley Haven Guest Home on November 18, 1998 where she received excellent care.
She leaves to mourn several nieces and nephews and her brother-in-law Robert Menard of Kelowna and sister in law Angela Menard of Chilliwack as well as her close friends.
A Prayer service was held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 6, from St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Funeral Mass followed at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 7 and interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery followed at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 9.
