It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend, on Sunday, June 21, 2010 at Chilliwack General Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Andy, in 1992.
She will be forever missed by her family, daughters: Bonnie (Terry), Shirley (Gary); and grandchildren: Michael, Taylor, Scott, and Meghan.
Born in Westport, Ontario on January 28, Lillian was the eldest daughter of 10 children. She is survived by sisters: Luella, Blanche, and Gladys; sister-in-law, Marie; and many nieces and nephews. Lillian was predeceased by brothers: Wilbur, Harold, Lloyd, Raymond and sisters: Beatrice and Pearl.
Lillian received her RN from the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Kingston, Ontario. Her nursing practice included 10 years in White Plains and New York City, New York; 3 years in King County Medical Centre, Seattle, Washington and 30 years at the Chilliwack General Hospital.
To celebrate Lillian’s well-lived life, a service will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church, 46098 Higginson Road, Sardis, at 12:00 p.m. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, with a reception to follow.
