Kevin Pagh Sorensen, son and pride and joy of Carsten and Beth Sorensen, passed away quietly and peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of December 1, 2005, at the tender age of 15 years, at home in Chilliwack after a lifelong battle with his mitochondrial disease.
Kevin is survived by his parents, Carsten and Beth, his sister, Nicole; his loving family, Farfar (Valther); Farmor (Astrid), Grampa (Barrie), Gramma (Eleanora); Aunties- Donna, Eileen, Annette, Tracy and Laurie; Uncles- Rick, Pat, Robert and Glen and all of his cousins.
Throughout Kevin’s precious life he enjoyed many activities that included fishing with his family and friends, going to movies family parties, watching videos, listening to country music including his favourite artist Shania Twain, and spending time at the family cabin.
Kevin was always a good listener who kept all of the secrets he was told.
He loved tickle fights, mountain views, being the only boy in his dance class, being pushed really fast in his wheelchair, dancing with his mom, bumpy roads and riding his dad’s ATV.
Kevin was artistic and liked to paint. He liked to change the rules in the middle of a game, and enjoyed being with his friends in school.
Kevin had a beautiful and mischievous smile that was cherished by all. Our sweet “little K man “ will be missed by everyone who knew him, including his dog Tess and cat Shasta.
Our beautiful boy is finally free.
An opportunity to reflect with Kevin will be provided on Friday, December 9, 2005 from 2 til 7 pm at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 1:00 pm at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home; Captain Ernie Roberts officiating.
If family and friends so desire, donations to BC Children’s Hospital, 4480 Oak Street Vancouver, V6H 3V4 in Kevin’s name would be very appreciated.
