Passed away peacefully at Victoria General Hospital on September 27, 2004 at the age of 90 years. Born February 5, 1914 in Vancouver, Ken grew up in Powell River. A longtime resident of Chilliwack, he was the head mechanic for the Township of Chilliwack for over 25 years.
Ken married Doris McCormack, the true love of his life in 1944 and they were married for 55 years until her passing in July 1999. In recent years, Ken shared his time between Victoria and Stouffville, Ont. He was a real sweetheart with a great sense of humour, and was happiest when sharing stories and his love of sketching with family and friends.
Ken is survived by sons, Bob and his wife Shirley of Victoria, and Peter and his wife Joyce of Stouffville, Ont.; five grandchildren, including Dawn, Paula, Kris, Jennifer, and Gregory; two great-grandchildren including Tylor and Dario.
A son Paul, predeceased Ken in October 1958.
A graveside service will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004 at 11 a.m.
