Kathleen (Kay) Anne Jones (Pedersen)
With sorrow we announce the passing of Kathleen (Kay) Jones on August 26, 2017 after losing her battle with cancer. Born in 1938, raised in Winnipeg, she moved to Calgary in the late 50’s and settling in Chilliwack with Jonesie in 1990. She worked as a medical secretary and an administrative assistant, retiring from Abbotsford Community Services in 2005. She was always an active volunteer and a faithful member of various church congregations, most recently St. John’s Anglican Church in Chilliwack. Kay was an avid crafter, enjoying flower arranging, cross stitching, creating notes and greeting cards and painting. She is survived by her daughter Chris, stepchildren Marilyn, Glenn, Shelley, Valerie and Bradley, her sister Marilyn, in-laws Bent and Vita Pedersen, Duane and Sharon Jones and many nieces, nephews, children and grandchildren. Her memorial service will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church, 46078 Higginson Rd, Chilliwack, Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 1:00 pm. Kay preferred memorial gifts in lieu of flowers to be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Abbotsford Community Services. Mom was a great mother, loved by all of us.
