Joyce passed away suddenly due to her battle with cancer and heart complications.

Joyce was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan.

She was predeceased by her parents Alfred and Emma Schnieder; sister Verla; and nephew Aarron.

She is survived by sisters:Marjorie (Bob) of Calgary and Marilyn (Stan); niece Pam and nephew Dean; brother-in-law Jim Pedersen and nephew Ross of Medicine Hat; close friends: Eric, Troy and Nicole Carlson, Brenda Creasey and family, Harold, Doug and many others.

Joyce arrived in Chilliwack in 1978 and has over the years worked at Department of Highways, Fraser Valley Foods, Canadian Forces Base, Chilliwack Mall and various others.

She volunteered at the Canadian Cancer Society and canvassed for various organizations. Being a perfectionist made Joyce a very unique person. She lived life her own way. For those who were close, Joyce was a very loving, caring and giving person. We will miss her smile and humorous wit and great holiday gatherings.

A Memorial Tea will be held Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Anavets on Yale Road, Chilliwack.

Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Society.
