John Dale Kerr


John Dale Kerr, known to his friends as Jack, passed away peacefully at Cascade Hospice, in Chilliwack, BC on July 31, 2017 at the age of 84. Jack was born August 1931 in Lang, Saskatchewan, on the Kerr homestead. He later moved to B.C with his parents. He was a loving husband and father. He was reliable, trustworthy and loyal. Jack is the salt of the earth. He loved nature and animals, and he spent his life nurturing both. He was full of life, and loved music and dancing. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife: Shirley M Kerr; children: Patricia, Terry, Ronald and Lori-Anne; and grandchild: Karla. He will be fondly remembered by his many friends, and those who consider him family and call him Grandpa Jack. Jack was predeceased by his sister Colleen Heck and brother Ramon Kerr. There will be no formal service for Jack. There will be a private scattering of his ashes by family members. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in the memory of Jack, to B.C. Wildfire Animal Disaster Relief Fund at Horse Council B.C.604-856-4304.
