John died peacefully on January 24, 2007 after living with cancer for several years.
Born October 3, 1929 to Oscar and Violet Wick, he lived in many small BC communities before graduating from Pharmacy at UBC in 1955. After his graduation he worked as a pharmacist in Keremeos, Princeton, Kimberley and Vancouver, before finally settling in Chilliwack.
Curious by nature, John was always researching, studying and exploring different topics of interest and new ways of doing things.Â
John had a wry sense of humor, a love of music and photography and most recently a keen interest in family geneology.
John is survived by his daughters Christy Linder ; Val (Laurie) Mains; son Jeff (Becky) Wick; brothers Bob Wick and Les (Verda) Wick his six grandchildren; Jason, Tasia, Cody, Samantha, Daniel and Sarah and Val’s two stepsons, Jake and Alex.
A memorial service for John will be held on Friday, February 9, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Ave. Chilliwack, B.C. V2P 2S9.
