John Apps passed away on Monday August 30, 2004 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 81 years. He was born September 25, 1922 in Preeceville, Sask.
John is survived by his wife, Marwayne; sons, Murray (Tina) and Wayne (Laura); grandchildren Teresa Bodo, Trena White, Chad Apps and Kenny Apps; great-grandchildren, Aaron White, Brooklyn and Kylie Bodo; brothers Howard and Fred Apps and sister, Pearl MacAulay.
He was predeceased by his parents, Steve and Lillie Apps; brother, Elmer Mills; sister, Elsie Clements and son Dennis Apps.
John was a veteran of WWII. He and Marwayne operated a hobby farm as well as holding various driving jobs in the logging and gravel industries. John was employed as a freezer foreman at York farms when he was forced to retire due to health concerns in May of 1972.
His many hobbies included woodworking, lawnmower repair and gardening.
A Memorial Tea will be held on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004 from
2-4 pm at the Rhombus Hotel, 45920 First Ave., Chilliwack, BC.
