John A. Laird passed away on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002 at Chilliwack General Hospital, at the age of 82 years. He was born August 31, 1920 in Chilliwack.
John is survived by his wife Anne; sister-in-law Barbara Reid; nieces, Barbara Oscienny (Mike), Sandra Ackerman (Gary), and Gwen Scott (Clare); nephew Keith Laird (Bobbie); and several great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Nellie Laird; and one brother Walter.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. from the chapel of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, Gordon Winkler, Dwayne Powell and Judy Scheller officiating. Burial will follow at Vedder View Gardens Cemetery in Sardis.
