John Albert Oddy passed away on July 7, 2009 at the Cascade Hospice.
He was 64 years old. John was born in San Manteo, California on June 15, 1945 but maintained that his life never truly began until 1979 when he met his wife Carol. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife and three children, Michelle (Kurt), James, and Allison as well as countless friends and relatives. John was employed at Fraser Valley College for many years and after retiring from there worked for the US Forest Service as an archaeologist. This brought him to the outdoors, feeding his passion for history.
His many interests, quick wit and sense of adventure will always be cherished by those he leaves behind.
A celebration of John’s life will be held on Monday, July 13 at 1:00 pm, at Sardis Community Church.
