Joanne Kathleen Franco born in Winnipeg, Man. on July 2, 1948, it is with deep sadness we regretfully announce the sudden passing of Joanne on March 13, 2005.
Predeceased by her father Ralph; her brother Max; and most recently in 2003, her beloved mother Margaret.
Survived by her sister Sherry; and her brothers, Ralph and Ron; nieces, Crystal, Shalen, and Julie; and her dog Brandy.
Joanne lived and worked in Chilliwack and was known by many. She worked on horse farms in the Upper Fraser Valley since she was in her early teens. She had been an integral part of Reed Stables in Chilliwack for the past 27 years. She truly loved working with horses. She also worked at the Royal Hotel for the Berry family.
Joanne’s love of figure skating was well-known and she attended the Stars On Ice recently held in Chilliwack, with lifelong frined Tom Berry. The tickets were a gift to her from her brother Ralph, who was very special to Joanne.
Joanne touched the lives of all that knew her and will be remembered for her dedication, friendship, and loyalty. She will be deeply missed by all her friends, and all the animals that she cared for everyday.
Funeral to be held Thursday, Mar. 24, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at Chilliwack Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2005 at Reed Training Stables, 48240 Yale Rd., Chilliwack from 1-4 p.m.
