Joanne Karan McKay, beloved wife, daughter, sister, and Auntie passed early Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007 after a difficult battle with cancer.
Joanne was a fun loving, generous and caring person whose loving spirit will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Joanne is survived by her loving husband Roy Gosain, her mother Carmen McKay and stepfather Reg Gowen; her siblings, Mark (Theresa), Philip (Martha), and Louise (Gary).
Joanne leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews Eric, Christine, Scott, David, Jackson, Nicole, and Lauren. Joanne was predeceased by her nephew Matthew and her father Jim.
Joanne was a long-time employee of the Scotiabank and a devoted community volunteer and will be greatly missed by the Anne Davis Transition House Society, The Soroptomist Society, Toastmasters, and the Conservative Party.
A Celebration of Joanne’s life will take place at Henderson’s Funeral Home 45901 Victoria Ave in Chilliwack at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday October 6, 2007. Brenda Janzen Officiant.
A reception will follow in Henderson’s Tea Room. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in l ieu of flowers would be appreciated.
