(April 21, 1940 – July 5, 2008)

Jim Maddams passed away July 5, 2008, in Chilliwack hospital with his family by his side. He was 68.

Born April 21, 1940 in Chilliwack, BC, he was the only son of John and Ruby Maddams of Ryder Lake.

Jim married Beverley Fordham on August 6, 1960 and worked for Lafarge Concrete for 37 years. His passions in life included his family, fishing, traveling, cheering on the Chilliwack Bruins, Vancouver Canucks, and the BC Lions, and tending to his yard. His favourite activity was casino getaways to places like Reno, Laughlin, and Skagit.

Jim was a private and caring man who loved his family very much. He will be greatly missed.

He was survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 48 years, Beverley; his son Greg Maddams and his wife Kathleen of Kamloops, BC; his daughter Sandy Stewart and her husband Jim of Langley, BC; his son Curtis Maddams and his wife Sheila of Richmond, BC; and grandchildren Anthony and Jordan Maddams and Brittany & Kate-Lyn Forrest. Jim also had many other special family members and friends.

There will be no service or flowers by request.
