(Jim) Imre HARMAN

“Jim” Imre Harman — late of Chilliwack, passed away suddenly in Burnaby on January 23, 2004.

He was born October 30, 1937 in Chapel, Hungary and has lived in the Chilliwack area for the last 29 years.

Jim was a very hard working Brick Layer. His passion in his later years was to travel to Mexico and overseas. He loved the Mexican music and a wide range of music. Jim loved to speak the Spanish language. He had many hobbies including oil painting, photography, gardening, and was great at, and loved home improvement projects.

A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 5, 2004 at Glad Tidings Church with Pastor Dave Huebert officiating.

Casket Bearers will be Andre Harman, Ed Ruffle, Blair White, Chris Baker, Ralph Schmidt and Al Ricard.

Cremation will follow the services from Valley Crematorium in Chilliwack. At a later date Jim’s Cremated Remains will be taken to the places he loved in Canada, Mexico and Hungary, for family scattering services.

Jim will be sadly missed by his two children; Andre Harman of Chilliwack, and Sandra Scarborough of Burnaby; Lore Harman, his lifetime friend; sister Marika Harman, brother-in-law Karoly Polyak; niece Maria Ronlund, step-mother Julianna Kovacs, brother Janos Harman, niece Ildiko Polyak, as well as his step-brothers Peter Harman and Andras Harman.

If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of the BC & Yukon.
