Jessie Hagen passed away peacefully on November 23rd 2009. She was born on March 5th, 1914, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Predeceased by her husband Syver (1991) and son Paul (2002). She is survived by daughters Pauline Skoyen (Don), Hazel Denton (Eric), Irene Brooke, and Kathy Kowasaki (Walter), sons Ken Hagen (Dianne), Mel Hagen (Chardele), Jerry Hagen (Debbie), and Al Smith (Ramona), one brother Frank of Alberta, 21 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews in Alberta and B.C.
Mom spent most of her younger years in Saskatchewan which she thoroughly enjoyed. She moved to Surrey, BC i8n 1956 with her husband and 6 children. She spent a few years in Langley after the passing of her husband, then to Norman Manor in Chilliwack for the past few years. Her family would like to thank Norman Manor and their staff for all the care they gave Jessie when she needed it, and also to the staff in palliative care at the Chilliwack Hospital where she spent her last days.
