Born: October 22, 1929, La Minerve, Quebec, passed away: December 3, 2012, Cascade Hospice, Chilliwack, BC.
Always independent and strong and not wanting her family to suffer unnecessarily, Mom wrote her own obituary as follows:
Sadly missed by her daughter, Diane/Hank Goor, their three children, Randy, Melissa, Vanessa and grandchildren Austin and Makayla, her son, Robert (Bob)/Kate Bennett, their two boys, Kyle and Orrin, her son Alan/Colleen Bennett and their two children Cameron and Kerry. Also missed by her sisters and brothers Rose/Bill of Ontario, Hazel, Kathleen, Linda/Rolland, John, Fred/Jeanette, Danny of Quebec Stanley/Wendy of New Brunswick, sister-in-law Ruth of Chilliwack and sister-in-law Joan Bennett of Winnipeg.
Passed on before Mom were her parents, Jeannie and Francis Vetter, brothers Ted, Roy, Donald and Francis and Sisters Mary and Joan.
Mom will be missed by her Church family and her friends at the Garden Villa.

She is Gone
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared

Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
A huge heartfelt thank you to the wonderful caregivers at Cascade Hospice who took such tender loving care of Mom during her last days.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Ave. Chilliwack, Pastor Elmer Martin officiating.
