Peacefully in her sleep, Mom passed away at the Chilliwack General Hospital on January 21, 2009. Jean was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on September 22, 1923.
Jean met Warren “Buzz” Keating during the Second World War and married in 1945. She helped her Dad with his career as they were transferred from Swift Current to Regina to Windsor to Edmonton and then to Vancouver.
Jean was a bright, intelligent woman who also was the ultimate hostess, welcoming all to her table. She had a heart of gold and showed an immense amount of love to all of them
She was predeceased by her husband, Warren.
Jean is survived by her two children: Michael (Patricia); and Geraldine (Guy); her three grandchildren: Scott, (Nikki), Mark, and Heather.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel at Henderson’s Funeral Home – 45901 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA.
