James LOZOWCHUK

The family of James Lozowchuk, late of Sardis, BC, regretfully announce his peaceful passing on August 31, 2006 in his 72n year at his home.

His daughters: Lori Ingram (Charlie) of Delta, and Wendy Phillips (Darryl) of Sardis were at his side. Grandpa “The King” will be sorely missed by his grandchildren Ashley & Haley Phillips. His loving wife Carol of over 30 years died in 1991.

James was born in Krydor, Saskatchewan May 31, 1934 to Rosalia (Rose) and Wasyl (Bill) Lozowchuk who predeceased him, as well as his eldest brother, Stanley (Marge) Lozowchuk.

He was also predeceased by his mother and father, in-law Evelyn (Frances) and Arthur Diebel. By numerous uncles, aunts and cousins during the Holocaust in the Second World War on his mother’s side and others thereafter on his father’s side.

He was a resident of the Chilliwack District for over 45 years and was employed by the Federal Government in security.

Surviving him are his sister Lillian Vrintem (Bill) and family of Saskatoon, SK and brother, Edward Lozowchuk and family of Saskatoon, SK.

Sadly remembered by cousins Laurence and Tony Lozowchuk.

James did not wish to have a funeral but requested that his friends and family would meet at his home to celebrate his life. All friends and aquaintenances are invited to an informal gathering on September 9, 2006 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at Jim’s home.
