James Dunnill, born April 11, 1919 at Scobel, Ontario, died after a brief illness on December 30, 2006, surrounded by his loved ones at the Chilliwack Hospital.
Jim leaves to mourn, his partner of 15 years, Arlea Meyer, son Donald, daughters and sons in law, Thelma and Bart Wick, Barbara and Bruce Nixon, and Pamela and Ray Mitchell. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Jason, Judd and Rachel. He is remembered by Arlea’s children, Steve, Kelly, Kathy, Susan and their families.
Jim was predeceased by Vera, his wife of 51 years in 1989 and grandson Tyler in 1982.
Jim’s happiest years were spent camping with his family and later traveling in his RV, enjoying impromptu musical jam sessions with the many friends he made during his travels.
A Memorial Celebration of Jim’s live will be held in May, exact date and location to be determined with notification to follow in this paper.
