Jacobus WYNKER

Jacobus Wynker, late of Rosedale, B.C. passed away at McLeese Lake, B.C. on July 8, 2005 at the age of 78 years. He was born July 30, 1926 in Wognum, Holland.

As a young man Jack lived in le Chateau d’ Artique in the south of France where he met his wife, Conny. After several years he immigrated to Canada where he worked with Alcan in Kitimat, B.C. Jack moved to Rosedale in the early sixties where he farmed and lived, enjoying life to the fullest, always having time for visitors, grandchildren and gardening.

Jack was a longtime member of the Holstein Club, F.V.M.P.A. and Friends of the Library.

Jack will be fondly remembered and missed by his children and his grandchildren who will always remember him as their Bubup & Opa.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, July 14th, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Interment was in the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.

Father Gary Gordon and Father D.D. MacDonald O.M.I. Celebrants. Casket Bearers were Theo Jonk, Nico Jonk, Thomas Wynker, Steven Wynker, Justin Wynker and David Wynker.

He is survived by: Karin (John) Nan of McLeese Lake, B.C.; Renee’ (Nick) Jonk of Westlock, AB.; John (Diane) Wynker of Rosedale, B.C.; Theo, Nico, Jose’ Jonk; Thomas, Steven (Veronica), Justin (Marlen); David, Emma, Jared, Maria, Benjamin Wynker; brothers and sisters: Cor Wijnker, Piet (Divera) Wijnker, Katrien Wijnker, Toos (Aad) deGoede-Steltenpool, Anny (Kees) Van Velzen-Wijnker.

Predeceased by wife, Conny Wynker-Van Driel; granddaughter, Leah Jonk, brothers: Kees, Arie, Benny Wijnker and sister, Greetje Wijnker.
