Jacob Thiessen, late of Chilliwack, B.C. passed away November 20, 2006 at the Cascade Lodge at the age of 85. He was born June 17, 1921 in Neukirch, Ukraine and had lived in this area for 50 years.
Jacob was a meat cutter. He was an avid fisherman with his wife at his side, loved watching hockey and the Canucks were his favourite team, and was a great dancer.
A private interment will be held at the Greendale Cemetery. Casket Bearers: Mathew Nicholls, Ryan Nicholls, Darryl Watkins, Alex Nicholls, Leah Nicholls, Russell McDonald; honorary bearer, Rod Watkins.
He is survived by his wife, Erna Thiessen; daughters, BarÂÂbara (partner Greg Smith) Prinster; Emily (Rod) Watkins and Carol Nicholls; 7 grandchildren, Leah Nicholls, Mathew Nicholls, Meghan Prinster, Ryan Nicholls, Lauren (Daniel) Venton, Darryl Watkins, Alex Nicholls; great-granddaughter, Annabel McDonald.
