Ivy (Patsy) Stone at age 15 left her home in Liverpool, England to join the land army supporting the British troops during WWII. At age 20 Patsy took initiative and proposed marriage to George Walter Stone, who was leaving England to work in Canada. A year and a half later George paid for a first class ticket aboard the ocean liner Aquitania for her to come and join him. George and Patsy were married in Portage-Du-Forte, Québec and later moved to Chilliwack, BC, where she raised her family and lived until her recent passing. Patsy is predeceased by her son Raymond, husband George, and grandson Raymond Keith. She is survived by son Robert (Diane), daughter Dianne (Mike), son Geoffrey (Jody), son Kenny (Kim), seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life is to be held from 1:00 pm 4:00 pm, August 5, at Edenbank Clubhouse, 7001 Eden Drive, Chilliwack. Street parking is available.
