Ivan Bruce MUXLOW

Ivan Bruce Muxlow, long time resident of the Rosedale area, passed away on November 18, 2005 after a lengthy but courageous battle with cancer. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Margaret, daughters; Melanie (Elmar) and Jody (Shawn) granddaughter, Amelie, his father, Richard (Joyce), his sister, Kathleen (Harry), his brothers; Stuart (Linda), Neil, Glenn, Hal (Wendy), Harvey (Susie), brother-in-law, Dave (Elma), sister-in-law, Nancy, his 19 nieces and nephews and 17 great nieces and nephews and all the other special families who have touched his life.

He is predeceased by his son, Timothy and mother, Kathleen.

Ivan was born in Radville, Saskatchewan on September 20, 1950. The Muxlow family moved to a small farm in the Chilliwack area in 1958. At a young age, Ivan showed a keen interest in farming and with the dedication of his partners, he was able to fulfill his ambition at Corner’s Pride and Muxlow Cattle Company.

He was a caring son, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, friend and horseman.  He lived his life to the fullest and with determination made the most of each day.

Ivan had a passion for horses and team roping. Over the last several years, Maggie and Ivan spent the winter months in Arizona at their Casa Grande residence.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Chilliwack United Church on Wednesday, November 23, at 2 pm. Reception to follow in the church hall.

Donations may be made to the Chilliwack Hospice Society or to B.C. Children’s Hospital.
