Irene Walton Jones born November 18, 1906, passed away peacefully at her residence in Chilliwack on February 18, 2003.
Predeceased by her husband David John Jones; her brother Roy and sister-in-law Thelma; and brother Maynard French.
Survived by her daughters, Sharon (Rudy) Davelaar of Chilliwack, and Jacquie (Danny Kellough) Jones of Prince Rupert; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Jean French of Vancouver; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Irene was born and educated in Vancouver and resided in Nanaimo for 41 years. The past 15 years were spent at the Birchwood in Chilliwack, to enable her to be closer to her family.
Funeral services will be held at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home on February 22, 2003 at 2 p.m. in Chilliwack.
Final resting place will be at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens on February 25, 2003 at 1 p.m. Friends and relatives are welcome.
The family requests no flowers. Donations in Irene’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of B.C.
