Ida May PARKER

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing away of our Mother, Ida May Parker (nee Hubbard), at the age of 85 on October 3, 2006 at the Cascade Lodge.

She was born November 28, 1920 in Chilliwack, B.C. and has lived in this area all her life.  She was the only daughter of four children born to Fred and Jessie Hubbard.

Ida was a member of the Anavets #305 Ladies Auxiliary, Snr. Vets and TOPS.  She was a very active lady and enjoyed playing bingo, keno, knitting and fishing.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home on Friday, October 13, 2006 at 2:30 p.m.  Major Angus Haggarty officiating. A private interment in the Chilliwack Cemeteries will precede the service.

She is survived by three children: Bev (Dave) Price of Chilliwack; Brenda (Terry) Robinson-Molloy of Lyndhurst, Ont.; Doug (Brenda) Parker of Chilliwack; six grandchildren: Larry (Jeanie O’Dine) of Williams Lake; James (Raelene Young) of Oromocto, NB; Sheryl (Barry) Oliver of Brooklin, Ont.; Ron (Mary) Robinson of The Pas, MB; Deena (Bill) Barclay of Chilliwack and Chris (Todd) Kendall of Chilliwack. Also survived by four great-grandchildren: Amanda and Brad Price; Liam & Owen Barclay; brother and sister-in-law, Lyle (Irene) Hubbard of Kelowna; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marge and Gordon Parker of Quesnel, BC; many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Ida was predeceased by her husband, Earl Parker in 1971; son-in-law, Gil Robinson in 1985 and two brothers, Frank and Gordon.

At Mom’s request, donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. and Yukon.
