Ida Florence Isabella Hartley (Mickelson) nee Andrews late of Eden Care Home, Chilliwack, formerly of New Westminster, passed away May 15, 2004 at the age of 86 years. She was born April 30, 1918 in Archive, Sask.

Jane of all tasks for Marine Electronics, Burnaby, B.C. until medically retired due to a heart attack in 1977. She loved travelling, enjoyed fishing and golfing. Ida moved from Moose Jaw to New Westminster in 1939 to escape the cold winters. In retirement she lived in Cultus Lake and Chilliwack and ”snowbirded” in Yuma, Arizona.

A Memorial Service was held Thursday, May 20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Lenz officiated. Cremation, Valley Crematorium, Chilliwack with interment at Fraser Cemetery, New Westminster.

She is survived by her son Richard (Lee) Mickelson; daughter, Linda Hartley; brothers, William (Marjory) Andrews; Ray (Dorothy) Andrews; Gary (Cori) Andrews; sons-in-law, Don Blake and Alec Nemedy; grandchildren, Susan and Anton (Tony) Nemedy; Shelley (Wade) Gordy and Shannon Mickelson; great-grandson, Brandon Nemedy and extended family, Lornamai (Gordon) Halcro and daughters Lori and Tracy (Dean) Cochrane, Crystal, Calvin and Maria.

She was predeceased by her mother, Hannah; father, Milton; step-mother, Eva; husbands, Anton (Tony) 1963 and Cecil (Jack) 2000; brother, Melborn (Bud) and sisters, Hazel, Phyllis and Lorna and daughter, Donna.
