Henry Epp passed away peacefully on Monday, November 06, 2006 at the age of 83 lovingly surrounded by his wife and children.
Henry was born April 11, 1923 in Siberia. He immigrated to Canada with his family in 1929 at the age of six. After spending his youth in Coaldale Alberta, he went to the University of British Columbia where he obtained his teaching degree. He spent many years teaching in the Chilliwack School District before retiring in 1983.
The joy of his life included spending time with his family, reading, playing bridge with his friends and fishing.
He will be dearly missed by Margaret, his wife of 56 years; his daughter, Karen (Bryan) Card; sons David (Sharon) and Gary (Colleen); seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren as well as a large extended family and numerous friends.
A Memorial Service will be held in his honour at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave Chilliwack, at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 9, 2006; reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the MCC or Gleaners Association would be welcome.
