Henry Carl Stanley Adams passed away on November 10, 2005. He was born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan on June 12, 1925.
Henry is survived by his wife, Margaret, of 59 years; sons, Wayne (Susan) Adams of Chilliwack and Norman Adams of Brandon, MB; daughters Cynthia (Rolf) Arnold of Abbotsford, Betty Wilson of Huntsville, Ont., Sharron Horvath of Chilliwack and Donna Wilson of Fleming, Sask., 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Dolly Goodman of Winnipeg, MB and special family friend, Dorothy Mitchell.
Henry was a veteran of the Second World War. He re-enlisted after the war and became a career solder. One of his postings was in Egypt as a Peace Keeper. After his retirement from active service he continued to work at CFB Chilliwack. He was an active member of Evergreen Baptist Church serving on the church board, a trustee and usher. He enjoyed darts, cribbage and golf.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2005 at the First Avenue Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Lloyd Anderson officiating with interment to follow in the Royal Canadian Legion Cemetery.
