Hendrikborn Heetebrij was born March 8, 1924 in Vollenhove, Netherlands and entered peacefully into the presence of his Lord on August 3, 2008 in Chilliwack, BC.
Predeceased by his greatgranddaughter Mika Bareman.
Hendrik is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Anne; children: Jenny (Ben), Hank (Margita), JoAnne (Lawrence), Alice (John), Nora (Rick), John (Marilyn), Grace (Clint) and Bert (Henriette); 39 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, eight brothers, two sisters, as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
Hendrik was a committed family man who loved the outdoors and will be missed and cherished by all who knew him.
A funeral service in his memory will be held on Friday August 8, 2008 at the Canadian Reformed Church of Yarrow, 42285 Yarrow Central Road.
Public visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. with services beginning at 10:30 a.m. and an interment to follow at Yarrow Mennonite Cemetery.
