Helmut ALLERT

Helmut Allert, late of Sardis, and formerly of Kamloops, passed into the presence of his Lord on Monday, Oct. 28, 2002 at Chilliwack General Hospital, at the age of 68 years.

Helmut was born in Wembley, Alta., and came to B.C. in 1944 with his parents and family. He grew up in Yarrow and received his teaching degree from the University of B.C. He was employed by the Kamloops School District for over 30 years, as a school teacher and principal.

He is survived by his wife Lil; daughter Cynthia and her husband Kevin Wildeman, and their children, Jesse, Natalie and Eric, of Chilliwack; and son Russ of Victoria. Also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Neil and Shirley Allert; sisters, Katherine, Hilda, and Lillian Allert; sister-in-law Linda (John) Allert, all of Abbotsford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service in Celebration of Helmut’s Life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Sardis Community Church, 45625 South Sumas Rd., Sardis. Pastor Graeme Isbister officiating.

Memorial donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Box 267, Chilliwack, B.C. V2P 6J1, would be appreciated.
